After a couple of events, which has happened quite recently here Garfield Wiki:Requests for adminship/Request to become an admin and in a couple of online places, I've come to the conclusion that my approach towards certain matters requires a re-evalution.
The remaining Wiki admins made me realized, that abusing the power as the Garfield Wiki admin indeed drove off a number of users, when I indeed had violated the rules I was supposed to exercise as the Wiki admin. Especially with this whole First Amendment interpretations, which I don't fully understand as a non-United States citizen - certain users encountered here use it as an excuse to slander people ( which is actually a tort in my homeland) and post messages bordering nonsense, others claim the opposte and seem not to use it. A person outside the American cultural circle can easily get lost in this interpretation limbo, but I digress.
The same criticism applies to those of my works Bonzo Wag was kind enough to advertise here - I confess that Billy the Kid drawings were developed as a satire against my opponents on Fandom. Even though, I find it mostly weird that veiled satire like this isn't accepted inside a society built on the aforesaid First Amendment interpreted as the right to write nonsense and slander - here, in Europe we have satirical magazines like "Charlie Hebdo", which are indeed criticized by right-winged and religious people, while more liberal folks enjoy those freely. Apparently, it's another trait of American culture non-Americans won't understand.
Anyway, I've realized that arguing with certain users and creating satire against them aren't the solution. Certain people should be left for themselves.
Thus, I would like to apologize anyone, who felt the victim of my abuses as the Garfield Wiki admin. If you accept my apologies, I'll be glad. Otherwise, I'll at least have the peace of mind that I can end one chapter in an online life.
