Latest revision as of 20:45, 19 April 2020

I've observed that some Garfield comics are different between their versions on Garfield.com and other comic sites such as uComics and GoComics, or even newspaper/physical book reprints. Sometimes the original strips were up on Garfield.com but edited later.

1982-03-27

In the original version of the comic, Garfield asks "Who waxed the fench?" Garfield.com's version has fixed the spelling error, with "fence" instead.

The edit in this strip is with the speech bubble in the second panel. In the old version, it's Garfield thinking it, while new versions redirect it to the mouse. This makes more sense, because why would Garfield say "You said it!" to his own sentence?

1995-07-28

The original version of the comic has a blue color behind the speech bubbles. Garfield.com has fixed this with a dark-blue color instead, due to Jon's complaint that it's nighttime.

1997-11-25

The wall color was inexplicably changed. The mouse is now the correct color in the 3rd panel.

If you know any more of these revised comics, please let me know. Where should we cover them on this wiki?
