Up a Tree (Historic Non-English French title of episode: Chat perché !) is the twelfth episode of Garfield Originals.
Synopsis[]
Five scenarios involving Garfield climbing a tree.
Plot[]
The first scenario has Garfield climbing a tree and falling after every branch he rests on breaks. He then tries to climb the tree again, only for the tree to topple over.
In the second scenario, Garfield hangs from a branch and sees Nermal bake a cake in front of him inside the tree's trunk. Garfield ends up reaching for the cake, only to then fall. Nermal watches in amusement while also catching the cherry he used to top the cake.
In the third scenario, Odie climbs up invisible stairs to reach the branch Garfield is hanging on, hangs on that branch by his ears and then descends down the invisible steps. Garfield attempts to get onto the invisible stairs; he promptly falls.
In the fourth scenario, Garfield futilely tries to climb the tree, only to slip down. He then fires himself upward using a cannon, only to get stuck in the branch he crashes through. A mouse observes him and proceeds to tickle Garfield's nose.
The fifth and final scenario begins with Garfield and Odie hanging from a tree branch. After Odie does a brief dance, Garfield grabs Odie's tongue and uses it to lower himself to the ground. Shortly afterwards, Odie falls onto Garfield and Garfield gets crushed by the branch, which has apparently broken off because of Garfield's weight.
