Thomas Wright Scott (born May 19, 1948) is an American saxophonist, composer, and arranger. He led the jazz fusion group L.A. Express and was a founding member of The Blues Brothers. He has also performed with artists such as George Harrison, The Grateful Dead, Michael Jackson, Johnny Mathis, Paul Williams, Carole King, Neil Diamond, Barbra Streisand, Dan Fogelberg, Joni Mitchell, Minnie Riperton, Steely Dan, Whitney Houston, Blondie, Richard Marx, Rod Stewart, Quincy Jones, Thelonious Monk, Frank Sinatra, Aretha Franklin, Aerosmith, Paul McCartney, Olivia Newton-John, Toto and GRP All-Star Big Band.
Scott has performed and written for movies and television shows, including Starsky & Hutch, The Streets of San Francisco, The Nine Lives of Fritz the Cat, Family Ties, Conquest of the Planet of the Apes, Stir Crazy, Soul Man, Baretta, Cannon, Barnaby Jones, Taxi Driver, The Jerk, Three Days of the Condor, Heaven Can Wait, Sea of Love, Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, Toy Story 2, Monsters Inc. and Cybill.
