Overview

The Very, Very Long Night (FRFlag Cette nuit, tous les chats sont gris) is the 54thUS/EU episode from the fourth season of The Garfield Show. It is the fourth season finale of The Garfield Show.

Synopsis[]

Everyone to bed! No monster movie night! Jon plays it really strict this time. But he has to go and help Eddie Gourmand who has lost the key to his car on a road somewhere. Tonight's 24 hour marathon of the scariest movies can start!!

Plot[]

Herman Post is delivering the mail to Jon's house while calling Muriel about Garfield doing everything he can to scare him. When he presses the doorbell, Garfield glares at him, making him scared and faints. Garfield takes the mail into the house and rifles through every bill he sees and says that Jon's nieces are coming to visit and hears and they want to dress him up. They chase Garfield until Jon stops and tells them not to dress Garfield up, much to the latter's delight. Jon says that they will not watch TV because Garfield is going to watch a monster movie marathon.

Later that night, the five are getting ready for bed, and Jon reminds them not to watch monster movies and goes to bed.

  • This is the last 12-minute episode of The Garfield Show.
  • This is the last appearance of Eddie Gourmand in The Garfield Show.
  • The reason Drusilla and Minerva think Jon is a monster and the way the trap him is nearly identical to the reason Garfield and Odie think Jon is a monster in "Catnap" and the way they trap him in the same episode.
  • This is the only time Jon forbids Drusilla and Minerva from dressing up Garfield. He normally does not mind them doing such.
