The Garfield Show Theme is an instrumental piece of music used as for the opening and ending sequences of The Garfield Show. It is also heard as background music in multiple episodes of the series.

The music has an R&B-flavored sound, with a horn section prominently played as well as saxophone and electric guitar as the lead instruments. Sound effects and Garfield's voice are also heard at the beginning and end of the opening sequence.

Summary[]

Before the theme song was about to begin, Garfield is asleep on his bed and a clock rings. He then pushes it and the scene changes to the kitchen where Garfield is yawning, and Jon is chasing a mouse with a broom.

The scene changes to outside, where Garfield meets Odie and he then throws a bone; the latter nervously runs into Rottweiler and Hercules.

Afterwards, Garfield jumps into Jon's car and they drive to Vito's for Jon's date with Liz. Garfield sees a pizza Vito made for the two and tries to get it; he instead slams onto the table, ruining Jon's date.

Garfield then finds himself near a fountain with a bouquet of flowers that he gives to Arlene before arriving back at his house.

Nermal is seen sitting in his chair, and after Garfield tackles him, he is on the chair once more along with Jon and Odie. He presses a button on the remote, ending the song.
