The Control Freak ( Un monde pas très rond) is the 30thUS/48thEU episode from the third season of The Garfield Show.
Synopsis
A petrified Garfield witnesses the most heart-breaking scene ever: Vito stomping on full pizza boxes!
Plot
Garfield is sleeping on a lawn chair in the front yard. He wakes up to see Squeak and three ballet mice. He says he does like that kind of dancing, but thinks that they have to do it while he is sleeping. Squeak turns on the radio, who gives instructions for the mice. We now see Nathan with his new invention and looks for someone to test it on. He sees Vito delivering Garfield's 11:30 pizzas and Vito does not want to be 10 seconds late. But before he can make it, Nathan zaps him and it works. Nathan makes him say that he does not like delivering pizzas and will no longer do that. Vito says the same thing. Nathan then tells Vito to throw the boxes on the ground and stop them, and Vito does so, which makes Garfield terrified at this.
Nathan laughs that he is getting revenge on Garfield for ruining his plans to take over the world. He hears his mother forcing him to take out the trash, much to his chagrin. He then zaps his mother and tells her to take out the garbage herself, and she does so. He tries to zap it on Odie, but realizes that it has no effect on him. Jon says that it's a little after 11:30 and decides to make lasagnas, but then gets zapped by Nathan, who tells him that he does not like cats and does not want any of them in house, including Garfield. Jon puts Garfield on the sidewalk and throws him a stick with a bag at the end. Garfield runs to the backyard, saying that Jon can't be serious. He then sees Jon throwing away his favorite foods. Jon says that from now on he will serve raisins in this house, much to Garfield's horror. Jon puts Garfield back on the sidewalk.
Garfield tries to get people to love him, but they say that they hate him because they got zapped by Nathan offscreen. Odie appears and does not hate Garfield, much to the latter's delight. Nathan zaps Herman Post and tells him that he hates delivering the mail and will move to Spain and become a beautiful señorita, and Herman says the same thing. Garfield finds out Nathan is behind all this. The two reach Nathan's house and see his invention and Garfield grabs the recorder to find out the truth. Once he reaches the part where Nathan says he presses the blue button, capture someone's mind, and speak into the microphone and tell them what to do, he realizes that he control the world and make everyone do anything he wants. But then Garfield realizes that humans can't hear him except the audience (see the "Goofs" section for more information). Nathan sees Garfield and Odie and tries to disintegrate them, only to get zapped by Garfield with his invention.
Garfield decides to borrow something across the street in order to control his mind. He grabs the radio when the mice used earlier and turns it on and puts it on the microphone. The radio makes Nathan do ballet. Odie asks Garfield what's to stop Nathan from his invention. Garfield demonstrates by disintegrating it with the disintegration ray that he took. Garfield says that he will use it when they have a guest appearance by Aunt Ivy. The mice join Nathan in the dancing, who bows and Garfield applauds.

Trivia
- The scene where Nathan does ballet after being hit with the mind-control device is similar to the ending scene in "Brain Boy", where Roscoe was forced to do ballet after Garfield tampered with his robot.
Goofs
- Despite Garfield saying that humans (aside from the audience) are unable to understand and hear him, which would make unable to use the mind control device's microphone, previous episodes contradict that statement, as Jon and some other humans are able to hear and understand him.
- It is possible that only certain humans can hear him, and Nathan isn’t one of them.
