The Beast From Beyond is an episode from the seventh season of Garfield and Friends.
Synopsis[]
A dinosaur awakens in present day and plans to enslave the human race by painting himself pink and starring on an educational show that hypnotizes its viewers.
Plot[]
In the Jurassic, a dinosaur got trapped in a mountain and fell dormant for eons from the volcanic fumes. As time went on, he survived and plans to enslave the human race with a plan to star in his own show while appearing pink. He became known as Sidney the Pink Dinosaur.
Everyone except Garfield gets hooked on the show, and during one of his songs, Sidney does something that causes the viewers to become brainwashed. Garfield heads down to the TV station to overhear Sidney's domination plan and takes his can of pink paint.
After a chase throughout the studio, Garfield switches the paint out with some paint remover and, after Sidney applies it unaware of what it really is, the paint comes off to reveal Sidney's true colors (both figuratively and literally) and his spell is broken, leaving everyone to become scared of him. Feeling bad for the dinosaur, Garfield vows to help him.
Sidney now stars in his own movies and becomes a major star, although Garfield is left discredited for this endeavor.
