Samuel W. Underburger (voiced by Maurice LaMarche) is a television writer.
When Underburger began working for Garfield, he became notorious for writing episodes that were more drama than comedy. Garfield finds out that Underburger has never been moved by comedy in his life, with one exception from his childhood where someone slipped on a banana peel. He therefore focused on writing for more serious shows.
