The Saber Tooth Tiger (voiced by Greg Burson) was a one time antagonist who managed to switch places with Garfield (as both are orange, black striped felines) in order to lose a crowd trying to capture him. Due to his ferocity, he seemed to be impossible to remove from the Arbuckle house. He finally left due to Nermal's cuteness, which made him sick.

- Unlike the majority of animal characters in Garfield and Friends, his mouth moves when speaking.
- A similar character, Catzilla, later appeared in "Orange and Black"; he is also orange with black stripes and a pair of saber teeth as well.
