Roger Rees

Roger Rees (5 May 1944 – 10 July 2015) was a Welsh actor and director. He is best known as a stage actor, particularly in The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby (as the title character), in which he won an Olivier Award and a Tony Award. He also appeared in stage performances of Macbeth, Hamlet, Cymbeline, A Man of No Importantance, The Real Thing, Peter and the Starcatcher and The Addams Family (where he replaced Nathan Lane as Gomez Adams).

Rees has had numerous film and television roles, notably Malcolm in the 1978 televised adaptation of Macbeth, Robin Colcord from Cheers, the Sheriff of Rottingham from Robin Hood: Men in Tights, Lord John Marbury from The West Wing, Guillermo Kahlo from Frida, Owens from The Prestige and James MacPherson from Warehouse 13. He was also featured in the television show Singles, PJ Sparkles (with Oliver Muirhead), Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot, MANTIS, The Scorpion King, Return to Neverland, The Pink Panther (2006), Grey's Anatomy, Elementary and the spy thriller film Survivor.
