Rodent Rebellion: Invasion of the Rats ( La révolte des rongeurs: Rongeurs Squatteurs) is the 2ndUS/EU episode from the fifth season of The Garfield Show and the second part of Rodent Rebellion.
Synopsis[]
Ratzo and other rats steal items and bring them to Jon's house, making the police arrest Jon.
Plot[]
Knowing about what Garfield could lose if Jon ends up finding mice in the morning, he executes the idea Ratzo tells him, which involves Garfield pretending to chase the mice, then throw them outside in a cage. Ratzo, however, decides not to open the cage, and claims there has been a “change of plans.” In the time frame just before and after the plan, Mary Margret Mouse starts questioning if Ratzo actually is a mouse like he claims.
That night, Garfield watches television, while numerous other rats enter the house in secret. They proceed to steal food in the kitchen, something Garfield finds out first-hand while going for his second dinner. Ratzo tells Garfield that the rats had not only replaced the mice as residents, but also that he is running the house. He threatens Garfield that he will call attention to the rats to Jon should he attempts dealing with them.
Garfield decides to go to bed as a result, wondering what he could do, when he gets hungry. Having overheard that Jon has dinner, he attempts to get it, only for the rats to steal it, which turns out to be a pizza without anchovies. Ratzo announces to his peers that they will take over the neighborhood by stealing their possessions, with Squeak overhearing it. He ends up being caught by them, and ends up being locked by the other mice. Jon thanks Garfield for getting rid of the house's rodents, unaware that more rats have entered.
The looting is the subject of the next morning’s newscast, with Herman Post seeing many of the stolen possessions described on the news entering the Arbuckle residence, with him finding out that they are stashed in the basement. Garfield wonders if the burglaries have any correlation to the presence of the rats, as well as realizing the direness of the situation at hand, when Nermal drops by, having returned from Abu Dhabi, with Garfield shutting the door on him. Jon opens the door, only to be met with Officers Reed and Malloy, having been tipped off by Herman. Jon is arrested by them, though he attempts to flee from them. The narrator announces that the town will be at the mercy of what will become the Rodent Rebellion.
