Rodent Rebellion: A Game of Cat and Rat (
La révolte des rongeurs: Sérénade en Rat Majeur) is the 4thUS/EU episode from the fifth season of The Garfield Show, the fourth and final part of Rodent Rebellion, and the series finale.
Synopsis[]
After freeing the mice, Garfield, Odie, and Nermal chase Ratzo and his team of rodents to prevent other creatures from stealing.
Plot[]
In the county jail, Jon’s lawyer comes to inform him that the court has found him guilty of all charges and he is looking for twenty to thirty years in prison. Jon correctly deduces that since rats are robbing the city and there were rats in his house before getting arrested, the rats must have set him up, but his lawyer does not believe him.
Back at the house, Ratzo has recruited other forest animals to become new members of the Rodent Rebellion (even though most of them are not actually rodents, as frequently pointed out) and starts a new crime spree that ends with a rendezvous at Cheese Land. As soon as the animals leave and begin the crime spree, Garfield, Odie and Nermal sneak back into the house and free all of the mice. Garfield and Odie go out and stop the animals, while Nermal and the mice stay behind.
Garfield and Odie easily manage to successfully convince the non-rats into quitting the army and return the stolen items, but only the rats remain at large. The police begin to assume that Garfield and Odie are also involved with the crime wave and are now more determined to arrest them.
Back at the house, Nermal discovers that his flute playing can hypnotize mice, which Humphrey deduces can help defeat Ratzo and his minions.
Meanwhile, Garfield and Odie have been found by the police and are about to be arrested, when all of a sudden, Nermal, Humphrey, and Squeak arrive with all of the rats thanks to Nermal's musical stylings. As soon as the rats are arrested, the cops realize that Garfield and Odie are innocent after all and help them take care of Ratzo.
Our heroes arrive at the now-condemned Cheese Land to confront Ratzo and Cecil. Garfield goes inside to settle the score with Ratzo and Cecil, but cannot seem to play a single note on Nermal's flute, which prompts the rats to chase him into a roller coaster. The ride goes haywire and breaks down, catapulting them into the entrance of the park. The cops then proceed to arrest Ratzo and Cecil.
With the rats having been brought to justice, Jon's name has now been cleared and despite helping defeat the rats, Garfield ships Nermal over to China.
