Rod Roddy TPIR

Rod Roddy (September 28, 1937 - October 27, 2003) was an American radio and television announcer.

Roddy was the announcer for various game shows, including Whew!, Press Your Luck, Love Connection, the original Battlestars, Hit Man, and The Price Is Right (succeeding Johnny Olson, who originated the phrase "Come on down!"). He also had stints announcing for The New $25,000 Pyramid, The Newlywed Game, Family Feud, and Hollywood Squares.

Additionally, Roddy was the announcer for Soap (a role originally handled by Casey Kasem) and commercials for companies such as Pennzoil and Public Storage. He provided the voice of Mike the microphone in Disney's House of Mouse.
