Robert C. Beasley (August 16, 1954 - April 14, 2023[1]) was the former general counsel and director of business affairs at Paws Incorporated. Beasley began representing Jim Davis in the early 1980s. Between 1993 and 2019, Beasley was the primary in-house attorney at the company. In this role, he represented Paws on intellectual property and licensing matters, which included seeking out counterfeit Garfield products. Following the sale of Paws, Inc. to Viacom, Beasley was listed in offical filings as being associated with Funny, LLC. From 1995 until his death he was married to Kim Campbell, the longtime director of public relations at Paws.
