Back at the house Garfield, Jon and Odie see Mayor Grafton on the news. Grafton declares his new nice to cats law and with the help of Professor Bonkers, creates robots that give out fine tickets to anyone who is mean to a cat. Garfield soon takes a liking to this new law. But Jon unimpressed still orders Garfield to take out the trash. But Garfield ignores him and walks out of the house.

This angers Jon enough to raise his voice. Suddenly a robot comes and fines him for making Garfield do manual labor which makes he even more angry. Garfield then takes advantage of the law to get stuff from the people. First he makes a sprinter buy him chinese food, takes a woman's ice cream cone and gets into an all you can eat restaurant. But, soon the law makes people afraid to go near him and he has to be nice to nermal. So, he goes to city hall to get the law changed.

Grafton refuses to pay for them stating that he's the one stealing the money anyway. However, unaware to him several reporters were listening in on him much to his embarrassment.

Kind to Kittens is an episode from the third season of The Garfield Show.

Synopsis

Mayor Grafton seeks approval by establishing a law for cat kindness. He then gets a group of robots to enforce the law.

Plot

Police are rushing through the town. When they stop at Vito's Mayor Grafton steps out of the car. A reporter latter questions with him about all the bad things he has done to the city (robbing the city of millions, selling city hall to a foreign country, accepting bribes, cheating, and lying), but Mayor Grafton shows no interest. When the reporter asks if there as been any good he has done for the city he does some thinking.

Meanwhile Garfield and Odie are getting pizzas from Vito, they leave saying they'll be back for dinner. Vito see Mayor Grafton and suggests passing a law against people not being nice to cats. Impressed Grafton takes the idea and tells the reporters, which makes them happy. Grafton even thinks he could get some money out of this.
