John Freeman (December 14, 1916-January 1, 2010) was an American character animator.

Having started his career with Walt Disney Productions, Freeman worked on movies such as Lady And The Tramp. He later joined Depatie-Freleng Enterprises (working on Pink Panther and other cartoon shorts), Hanna-Barbera, and Marvel Productions (where he was a sequence director for G.I. Joe, My Little Pony, and The Transformers). He also animated for The Nine Lives of Fritz the Cat, Beany and Cecil, and several ABC specials.

Freeman was a story director for the Hanna-Barbera shows Quick Draw McGraw, The Huckleberry Hound Show, and The Yogi Bear Show, and was involved with It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown and Norman Normal.
