Hound of the Arbuckles is an episode from the third season of Garfield and Friends.
Garfield dreams he is in the Sherlock Holmes story, Hound of the Baskervilles.
Garfield is going to watch a movie on the Sherlock Holmes story "Hound of the Baskervilles", but when he turns the TV on, it seems to be stuck on static. Jon is looking for Odie who can't seem to be found anywhere. Garfield tries to call the repairman to get the TV fixed, but Jon wants to Odie first. Jon gives Garfield a book on Sherlock Holmes' mysteries, thinking it would be better for him to read about them rather than watch them on TV. As Garfield opens the book, he gets sleepy and takes a nap with a dream sequence to follow.
In the story of The Hound of the Arbuckles, Sherlock and Watson (portrayed by Garfield) discover an umbrella belonging to Jon who has lost his dog somewhere. They go to the home of the Arbuckles. There, Watson finds a loose tile and believes it is a clue. Sherlock leads the way into the house looking for clues. They have searched every nook and cranny of the house and found no lead of the dog. Watson deducts that the dog is not in the house, but rather on it. They go to the roof to find the dog stuck up there. The constables get him down and reunite him with their owner. It turns out the tile Watson found came from the roof. Watson feels dejected for Sherlock taking all the credit for the mystery after he did all the work.
Odie's howling wakes Garfield up and he follows it outside to a ladder that fell over. Garfield shows Jon that Odie got stuck on the roof and tangled up on the antenna's wire, which explains the TV's lost signal. Jon gets Odie down and takes credit for being the one who finds him. Garfield then knocks the ladder down for feeling discredited and invites Odie to watch what's left of the movie.
The two pets enjoy what's left of the movie and turn the volume up to drown out Jon yelling at Garfield to get him off the roof.
