Here Comes Garfield/Transcript

• [Garfield sighs, glances back at Odie, and then goes back to looking out the window. Suddenly, his eyes open wide, and he hears the cage door being opened. He turns around just in time to see the guard's hand reach in and lift Odie up by the neck, waking him up. Garfield panics and starts running as fast as he can.]
• Garfield: NO!! You can't take Odie away!!!
• Fast Eddie: [grabs Garfield and tries to restrain him] Let him go, you fool! [Garfield continues to run, even though he isn't going anywhere] If you try to stop him, he'll take you too!
• [Garfield escapes Fast Eddie's grip and skids to a stop at the cage door. He strains as hard as he can to pry apart the bars, but finally gives up.]
• Garfield: I'll see ya, Odie, sometime... [hangs his head sadly] somewhere. [Odie gives Garfield a huge lick on the cheek. Garfield is startled for a second, then holds out a paw.] So long, old friend.
• [Odie puts his paw in Garfield's, then they both start to drift away from each other. Odie looks at Garfield helplessly as the guard drags him away.]
• Desirée Goyette: I never knew I'd have to say... soooo long.
• [A tear falls from Garfield's eye, and even after Odie disappears around a corner, Garfield continues to stare blankly down the hallway.]
