Guaranteed Trouble is an episode from the fourth season of Garfield and Friends.
Synopsis
Jon buys a new TV from Madman Murray.
Plot
The TV has broken for good, and it is given a proper burial in a traditional funeral. Jon decides that it's time now to buy a new set. While looking for a shop, Jon sees a commercial on TV for Madman Murray, a man who is a crazy salesman. They step into his store and Murray shows them a set that Garfield takes a fancy to. After paying whatever price Murray asks for and being given a guarantee, Jon takes it home.
As soon as they get home, they set up the TV. When Garfield turns it on, to their surprise, the picture is upside-down. He changes the channel to Binky, but there's no volume. The TV then busts down and Jon decides to use the guarantee he got to have it fixed.
They take it back to Murray who refuses to have it fixed because of the fine print he wrote on the guarantee. The print is so small, it requires looking at it through an observatory telescope. The warranty is not valid whatsoever. Garfield pretends to be a saber-tooth cat and attack Murray until he agrees to have it fixed. He tells them to take it back to the factory and have them look at it. The only problem is that the factory is all the way is all the way in Tokyo.
Desperate to save their TV, they catch a flight to Tokyo while in the cargo hold with a pack of turkeys. They arrive at the factory only to find an exorbitant line of customers who have had run-ins with Murray as well. When Jon finally gets his turn, the manufacturer states he can't fix it. Jon orders Garfield to threaten the manufacturer by dressing and acting like a ninja until he complies.
They fly back to America and turn on their TV set; however, they find that the TV is stuck on the Japanese language setting. Rather than go through anything else, they decide to eat teriyaki chicken until they learn Japanese.
