GoComics is a website owned by Andrews McMeel Universal that publishes comic strips online. It was founded in 2005 by Uclick as a comic distribution portal for mobile phones, before merging with UComics, an online comic site previously operated by the company, in 2006. Currently, the website distributes the strips syndicated by Andrews McMeel as well as other features and some political cartoons. All strips and their archives are available for free, although GoComics also offers a paid membership that provides some additional features and benefits on the website.
Since the shutdown of Garfield.com in 2020, GoComics has been the official home of Garfield comics online. In addition to Garfield, other notable strips on GoComics include Peanuts, Calvin and Hobbes, Ziggy, FoxTrot, Get Fuzzy, Pearls Before Swine, Phoebe and Her Unicorn, The Argyle Sweater, The Boondocks, Big Nate, and Cul De Sac. As of April 1, 2025, GoComics established a new policy where only comics published up to two weeks before the current date can be viewed for free. A paid subscription is required to view older comics.
