Garfield, the Pirate is a 1982 book. It was later rereleased by Argus Communications in 1984 as Garfield the Pirate and again in 1988 by Budget Books Pty. Limited with the same name.
Plot[]
After eating a huge breakfast, Garfield decides to go to sleep on the fireplace's mantel by the model ship. He then dreams about being a pirate, with he and his team on the search for the other part of a ripped treasure map Garfield has, who had been sailing for days. Garfield then spots his arch-rival, Captain Long Jon. Garfield tries to stuff himself into a canon and blast over to Long Jon's ship but ended up landing in the side of it. One he got on board, he realized that Captain Long Jon had the other piece of the treasure map. Him and Long Jon team up and search for the treasure on a nearby island. They then find the treasure on the island, and when Garfield opens the treasure chest, much to his delight, he finds a huge amount of lasagna.
