Garfield in Space is a book from 1982.
Plot[]
One day, Jon tells Garfield to get the newspaper. Outside, he spots a rocket ship on a launch pad. Garfield goes into the rocket ship and takes a nap. The rocket ship takes off with Garfield still sleeping inside, crash landing on Mars. When Garfield stepped out, he found small Martians. Since it was breakfast time for Garfield, he begins to eat the Martians' homes. Garfield gets catapulted off Mars by the Martians, sending him back to Earth. When Garfield reached Earth's atmosphere, he started heating up, but a hot air balloon broke his fall. when Garfield reached the ground, Jon asked where Garfield had been. Garfield gives him his newspaper which turns out to be filled with Martians.
