This is a page that goes in depth on the Quickies from the third season of Garfield and Friends.
The third season has a total of 26 Garfield Quickies and 12 U.S. Acres Quickies, the second most of any season behind only Season 2. Most of them are based off of Sunday strips from the Garfield comic strip. While they stay true to the original comics and tell the same story, there are often a few minor changes, such as added/altered/subtracted dialogue or an added/removed scene.
Trivia[]
Characters[]
Garfield[]
Garfield appeared in every one of the 26 Quickies, the only character to do so. He is typically the main character. Some of his best moments are making mice balloons and being the life of the party, but his low moments include getting sprayed by water from a fire hydrant and having a refrigerator fall on top of him.

Jon has appeared in 16 Quickies this season, the second most behind only Garfield. Numerous unfortunate things happen to him this season, be it from his pets beating him up for sleeping to Garfield putting a clown face on him.

Garfield nods off, but Jon sees the puddle on the floor and assumes Garfield wet himself. He angrily grabs Garfield and carries him off, while the cat pleads his innocence. Jon puts Garfield in a diaper and leaves him outside, with Odie panting next to him. Garfield, furious at the pooch, closes a blind that reads, "Stay tuned", so that the audience can't see what's happening. A few crashes and whimpering later, Odie's mouth has a diaper on it. Not to be deterred, he crawls out from under it, walks to the cookie jar, opens it, and takes a bite of his well-earned treat, only to find out they were raisin cookies. Loretta[]
- Quickie Name: Loretta
- Quickie Number: 92
- Original Strip: 11/22/1987
- Description: Garfield is in a bad mood. He kicks a mouse out of the way. The mouse retaliates by threatening to tell his sister, Loretta, and insisting that "she'll pound [Garfield] flat!" Garfield accepts the challenge, thinking that a good fight is what he'll need, and the mouse calls for Loretta, who has a tail bigger than the entirety of Garfield. The fat cat sees this and realizes what a mistake he just made.
- Tweaks:
- The mouse's first line is tweaked: "Hey, you can't do that to me! I'll call my sister, Loretta!"
- The mouse also talks, something he doesn't do in the strip.
- Garfield's final reaction isn't frustration, like the strip, but fear.
- Subtractions:
- Garfield waving his fist in the air is removed.
