Garfield: Bound for Home is an unreleased Garfield game for the Nintendo DS. It was set to be released in late 2005. It was to have been published by The Game Factory, who published four other handheld Garfield games.
Reportedly, the game's plot would have focused on a gang of wild cats who wish to take over Jon's house by disguising themselves as Garfield and eating all of Jon's food, so that Jon must spend all of his money buying more food and can no longer afford to live in his house. The goal of the game would have been to help Garfield stop the wild cats.[1] It would not have featured a multiplayer mode and the genre has only been described as "action".[2]
The game was officially announced in several press releases,[3] and was also advertised in a pamphlet included with the DVD boxset Garfield: Cat Tales.
