Garfield's Scary Scavenger Hunt is a game released in 2002. It was an interactive search and find online flash game that originated on Garfield.com. The game had a sequel, which released a year later in 2003.
Plot[]
Garfield arrives at an old mansion with a note saying that there are seven treats hidden in the mansion. He has to find all seven of them without having too many scary encounters.
Gameplay[]
The player can use the arrow key icons or arrow key buttons on the computer to move Garfield around various rooms. Clicking objects will allow Garfield to collect them, interact with them, or start minigames. The player needs to solve various puzzles to find seven goodies hidden in the mansion. A Scare-O-Meter shown at the bottom of the screen will increase if a jumpscare occurs. If the meter fills up, Garfield will get too scared to continue and will have to start over. If Garfield finds a goodie, it decreases the Scare-O-Meter. If Garfield finds all the goodies, the player immediately wins the game.

- Assorted Donuts: Located in a secret compartment in the Master Bedroom, give a piece of cheese to the mouse guarding it to get it
- Chocolate Covered Donuts: Located in the Attic, have the bats spell 'GARFIELD' correctly
- Sour Cream Donuts: Located in the Cemetery, Garfield needs a shovel to dig up the donuts
- Mini Powdered Donuts: Located in the Music Room, play the rhythm memory game correctly to win the prize
- Blueberry Muffins: Located in the Basement, the player must give Lyman in the basement a muffin in order to access it
- Chocolate Chip Muffins: Located in the Office, the muffins are behind a safe with the code being Garfield's birthday
- Mini Cinnamon Donuts: Located in the Storage Room, the donuts are located under the far right sheet
Trivia[]
- This game was sponsored by "Perfection Pastries", which was a real company when the game released. All the Donuts and Muffins in-game were branded with the company's labeling.
- In the basement, Lyman is shown alive, tied to chains.
- Binky the Clown appears in the Attic.
