Plots[]
A Gripping Tale[]
While waiting for Jon to return with food, Garfield and Odie examine a fish tank, which Garfield finds unappealing and boring. Jon returns with doughnuts and Garfield decides to take them for himself instead of sharing with Odie. Odie chases Garfield around the garden before catching the latter by the tail, sending the doughnuts flying out of Garfield's hand. The doughnuts are sitting on a sewer's edge and fall in just before Garfield leaps to get them. Garfield is heartbroken by the sight and as he gets up, he is splashed by the unclean water from the sewer. Odie finds this amusing which Garfield takes offense to. Garfield grabs Odie's tongue and suggests he send Odie down to retrieve the doughnuts.
As they argue, a large tentacle shoots from the sewer and grabs Odie to pull him into the sewer's depths. Garfield, still holding Odie's tongue, tries to save the dog by pulling back but is unsuccessful in his endeavour. Garfield, although unenthusiastic, decides to enter the sewer to save Odie. Garfield falls neck-deep into the water and his eyes slowly adjust to the darkness. Garfield, now cold and scared, calls out for Odie who replies from a distance. Just then, another tentacle grabs Garfield and pulls him through the water until the creature reveals itself as a giant octopus. The two pets try to escape its grip by fighting back, but the octopus's grip tightens each time. Garfield decides to try a last resort and tickle the creature's tentacle, successfully causing the octopus to hysterically through them out of the manhole. Garfield and Odie are relieved with the outcome before Jon calls them inside, claiming that an octopus has escaped from the local aquarium.
Psycho Pizza[]
Garfield, Odie and Nermal are watching television while waiting for their pizza to arrive. Jon leaves money on the kitchen counter and tells Garfield that the pizza should arrive in half an hour and that he is headed for bed. As Jon departs, Garfield and Nermal are undecided on a programme to watch until Nermal states he doesn't like scary films, prompting Garfield to change to the "Friday Night Nightmares". The film they play is "Ed, the Mild-Mannered Monster", which isn't very scary, much to Nermal's relieve and Garfield's chagrin. When Nermal wonders about their pizza, Garfield, in an attempt to scare Nermal, claims he hopes it isn't a "psycho pizza". Garfield describes the situation: a psycho was locked in a hospital for [disgusting] behaviour with power tools and one night, escapes though no one can find him as he looks like a regular man. To buy more power tools, he gets a job as a pizza delivery man. One night, a teenager orders pizza and the psycho delivers it. Garfield claims that the police only found two slices of pepperoni and three pieces of the teenager. The psycho is still on the loose and every now and then, makes what Garfield describes as a special delivery.
Nermal panics but Garfield tells him he and Odie hide in the kitchen while Garfield answer the door alone. Odie and Nermal stay in the kitchen cupboard. They believe the pizza man wasn't the psycho after all until they hear an electric motor approaching them. A man holding an electronic tool opens the cupboard, causing Nermal and Odie to fly into an uncontrollable panic, running into the man and out the front door. Garfield enters the kitchen eating the pizza while the man with the power tool is revealed to be Jon with his electric toothbrush. Jon had entered to check the amount of dog food in the cupboard, and goes to search for the two pets while Garfield returns to the television, pleased with the outcome.
The Abominable Snowman[]
Jon and his pets have just arrived at a remote cabin in the snowy forest, one with no modern accessories or even electricity. Jon is pleased with his vacation choice while Garfield finds it "cruel". Jon finds an antique radio and decides to take a listen, tuning in just before a cautionary announcement is made on an unconfirmed Abominable Snowman sighting. Jon finds the report silly and believes the Snowman to be a legend. Garfield and Odie are wary of the report but are forced by Jon to go out to get firewood. Having entered the forest, they eventually find a massive footprint which Garfield examines. Odie panics when the real Abominable Snowman appears and grabs Garfield. Garfield tries to slip out of the situation, claiming to be a vegetable which the Snowman reveals he is tired of. As the creature prepares to eat Garfield, the latter asks for one last wish: to be let go. The Snowman, being unintelligent, agrees to the wish.
Garfield finds out the Snowman's name is actually "Yeti" and asks why he is referred to as "Abominable". Yeti reveals that he is always in a bad mood due to the cold weather. Garfield suggests that the Yeti wear a hat as eighty percent of heat leaves through the head.
