Garfield's Believe It, or Don't!

"Garfield's Believe It, or Don't!" (stylized as "GARFIELD'S Believe it, or DON'T!") is a small series of comic strips from January 1986.

January 20th, 1986: 20 cats have enough static electricity to start a car, on the condition that it is not a cold morning.
January 21st, 1986: supposed to describe limits of Garfield's stomach capacity. Jon Arbuckle claimed that Garfield could eat 270 pounds of lasagna, but Garfield quit after 219 pounds (claiming that things went better in rehearsal).
January 22nd, 1986: Nick the Swedish Cat supports Garfield's opinion about mouser cats having bad breath (thus having difficulty in securing dates).
January 23rd, 1986: cats and dogs evolved from a common ancestral species, said to be called "cog". It went extinct when it barked up the wrong tree, which was actually the leg of a giant monster called Bubba.
January 24th, 1986: a cat from Oregon saved a child in 1957, only to throw him back because he was under the size limit for fish; apparently a parody of certain common law regulations at state level.
January 25th, 1986: the case of a cat from Lubbock, Texas giving birth to 57 kittens and suffering from infant insomnia.

Trivia

Cats and dogs actually did have a common ancestral species called Miacidae, which was a primitive carnivorous mammal that lived about 62-33 million years ago.
