Film Roman is an American animation studio, which was founded by Phil Roman in 1984. It took over production of the CBS Garfield television specials from Mendelson-Meléndez; it also produced Garfield and Friends.
Outside of Garfield, the studio is best known for animating The Simpsons (from 1992 to 2016) and King of the Hill. It has also produced Bobby's World, Mother Goose and Grimm, Mighty Max, The Critic, The Twisted Tales of Felix the Cat, the first two seasons of Family Guy, Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer, Mission Hill, The Oblongs, Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!, The Haunted World of El Superbeasto, Dan Vs., Slacker Cats, Tripping the Rift, Mortal Kombat: Defenders of the Realm, The Mask: The Animated Series and the first revival of Beavis and Butthead. It has worked on Marvel series X-Men: Evolution, Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, Superhero Squad Show, Ultimate Spider-Man and Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H.
