The Chinese Dragon (voiced by Gregg Berger) was the former ruler of a village, demanding that everyone bring him food.
A cat eventually tricked him out of his food, which resulted in the dragon chasing after the cat, with neither of them being seen again afterward. A legend then arose that the dragon would return for revenge if another cat were to eat all the food (namely at a Chinese restaurant that Garfield and Jon visited).
The dragon makes another appearances in Jon The Barbarian episode, where Bork gave it a beating, thinking it was Jon. The encounter resulted in the dragon angrily chasing Bork into the outer areas where they are never seen again.
Physical Appearance[]
This mythical reptile appears in two different, albeit similar versions. Both of those depict him as taller than a human being, with green scaly skin, lighter tone on his neck and belly, long jaws filled with sharp teeth, fiery red eyes locked in malignant gaze, and horns protruding from the creature's temples. The dragon sports a pot belly and Fu Manchu-like mustache.
China Cat[]
The dragon in this episode is bipedal. His head shares the colors of his body, save for yellow jaws, mustache, and eyesocket area, and a white-and-red mane around his neck. When angered, he can sprout fire from his nostrills.
Jon The Barbarian[]
In this episode, the dragon is now quadrupedal. His color scheme became simplified - jaws and eyesocket areas are the same light green color as his belly and neck, while the rest of the head is uniformly lavender. His fire attack is a breath weapon instead of flame jets ejected from nostrills.
Personality[]
Both episodes depict the dragon as a malevolent creature, who easily takes offense and does not hesitate to bring swift retribution to those, who wronged him. In "China Cat" , the dragon demands from villagers regular food supplies. The creature becomes more reclusive in "Jon The Barbarian" , where he is consent to stay at his cave, as long as nobody disturbs his peace.
