First comic strip (lost media)[]
Jim Davis' first published comic strip was a comic for The Breeze, the newspaper of his High School. Details of this comic are scarce, and no copies have surfaced. All that is known is that it was set in a high school, with a senior character and a freshman character, and that the characters in the comic most likely were the same used in the 1963 Whirlwind.
Whirlwind[]
The 1963 Whirlwind was Jim Davis' senior yearbook, noticeable because of the vast amount of artwork he contributed (primarily to the section intros). This included the earliest comics created by Davis known to exist.
