Garfield is instantly proven wrong.
"We picked a great day for a cookout, boys."
"Garfield usually likes his medium-rare."
"Garfield, your macaroni's ready!"
"Eating. The only thing in this world preferable to sleeping."
"Boy, if they could just come up with a way to sleep and eat at the same time, they'd really have something"
"This is too big a portion."
"You know I never like to eat too much, Odie."
"There are stories that these woods are supposed to be haunted."
"Haunted?"
"I don't know. I'm kinda scared."
"I warned them about going into the woods..."
"...but they won't listen to me."
"Maybe it's time I taught Garfield a lesson."
Jon doesn't notice that Binky is looking for work.
"Haunted woods."
"That's ridiculous."
"In all the years I've lived with Jon, I can't recall anything so bl--"
"Sorry."
"In all my years I've lived with Jon, I can't recall anything so foolish."
"He thinks there are ghosts out here."
"That's ridiculous, Garfield."
"No mistakes yet."
"Hmm, pets. That means there might be people in these woods."
"Go away! We don't want any."
Meanwhile, Jon's got a bedsheet.
"Garfield's been a very bad dog lately."
"I'm gonna teach him a lesson she'll never forget."
"Oh, you wanted some?"
"This will scare the pants off those three..."
"...or my name isn't..."
"...June Arberkle."
"No ladies, I'm not Tom Sellick..."
"...but I can understand how you'd make that mistake."
"Jon's in for a big surprise if he tries that old ghost routine."
The convict shows up in the ghost costume...
...and spooks Odie so much...
...that he grows an extra pair of paws.
"Take this, Arbuckle!"
"That phony voice doesn't fool me!" Garfield (in blue) says, suddenly voiced by Julie Payne.
"Come back here, Arbuckle!" (Garfield wears a safari hat and blue again)
"Help, police!"
"Take me back to prison! Take me back!"
"Say, did you hear a rhinoceros?"
Odie affirms that...
...even though they actually heard a cow.
"You make a lousy ghost, fella."
"And an escaped convict was just apprehended in the woods."
"Escaped convict?"
"Don't worry, Kermit; we have pretty boring lives. We never run into people like that."
"Okay, the cartoon's over. How many mistakes did you spot?"
"There were three."
"Watch, I'll show 'em to you."
"See this scene? I'm not eating. That's mistake #1."
"See this picnic? No mustard. Mistake #2."
"And in this shot, Jon's car doesn't have any gas in it. Mistake #3."
"Come on, boy, it's 10 AM."
"Time for a midnight snack."
