Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Wade is an episode from the fourth season of Garfield and Friends.

Synopsis[]

Wade gets hypnotized and turns into a monster whenever he hears a bell.

Plot[]

Orson is reading the tale of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde to Roy and the chicks until Wade interrupts the story. Wade keeps interrupting every time Orson tries to continue, so Roy gets rid of him, telling him they are reading a scary story, which sends Wade off in a panic. Unbeknownst to them, Orson's Brothers sneak past them.

Wade runs around before going back to apologize to Orson. He overhears them talking about the book's meaning and purpose, which causes him to suddenly fall into a hypnotized state, claiming that he will turn into a monster when a bell rings. Bo rings the dinner bell to call everyone over to eat. This causes Wade to turn into a monster. Bo rings the bell again and Wade turns back to normal. Just as Wade is about to settle down with the others, the phone rings and he turns into a monster again.

While the others prepare to eat, Orson's brothers tie them up and take the dinner. The farm bell rings and Wade, in his monster state, is about to attack the pigs until another bell rings and he turns back. When they are about to attack him,  they accidentally ring the bell. Wade, now in his monster form, takes them down and scares them off. He returns the dinner and changes back to normal. At dinner, the microwave bell goes off and Wade eats more than usual due to his monster form.
