Don Messick (September 7, 1926 - October 24, 1997) was an American voice actor.
He is best known for his roles in various Hanna-Barbara shows, including the title character of Scooby-Doo, Bamm Bamm and Hoppy from The Flintstones, Astro from The Jetsons, Ruff and Professor Gizmo from Ruff and Reddy, the title character of Ricochet Rabbit, Boo-Boo and Ranger Smith from Yogi Bear, Muttley from Wacky Races and Dastardly and Muttley in Their Flying Machines, Dr. Benton Quest from Johnny Quest, Sebastian from Josie and the Pussycats, Papa Smurf and Azrael from The Smurfs, and Blip, Zorak, Moltar, and Bronty from Space Ghost and Dino Boy. He also did narration for many of Hanna-Barbera's shows. He succeeded Howard Morris as the voice of the title character of Atom Ant and Mr. Peebles from Magilla Gorilla.
He also took over the voice of Droopy for MGM, following the departure of Bill Thompson, and reprised the role several times in the 1990s. Later roles include Officer Growler and Mr. Hoofnagel from The Get Along Gang, Gears, Ratchet, and Scavenger from The Transformers, and Hampton J. Pig and Bosko from Tiny Toon Adventures.
He made a rare live action appearance in The Duck Factory.
