Dicky Beaver (voiced by Hal Smith) is a beaver.
Dicky makes his entrance when he sees Garfield begging Billy to spare him after mistaking him for a vicious beast. He tells Garfield that they are not going to eat them since they are herbivores. When Garfield asks the two about the panther, Dicky recalls having seen it on the shore near the lake when it killed a friend of his. Dicky says "What it did to a friend of mine is too ghastly to repeat." Dicky also says that the panther stared at him "as if he were next." He and Billy run off when they hear rustling in the bushes (which turns out to be Odie).
