
Richard Hastings Thomas, known professionally as Dick Thomas or Richard H. Thomas (January 3, 1915 – December 30, 1996), was an American background artist.
Thomas first worked for Warner Bros. Cartoons as part of the Bob Clampett unit; he was later transferred to Norman McCabe, Frank Tashlin, and Robert McKimson. After a stint with Disney (which included Sleeping Beauty), he became one of the primary background artists for Hanna-Barbera in the 1960s. He later worked for Krantz Films (on Rocket Robin Hood and Spider-Man) and DePatie-Freleng Enterprises (on The Pink Panther, among other animated series), as well as additional animated features from Warner Bros. and Hanna-Barbera. He retired after working on Garfield and Friends.
