Alcon Entertainment, LCC is an American film production company. It was founded in 1997 by Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosove. The majority of the company's films have been released by Warner Bros. Their filmography includes My Dog Skip, Dude, Where's My Car?, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, The Blind Side, The Book of Eli, Dolphin Tale, Racing Stripes, What to Expect When You're Expecting, Prisoners, and Blade Runner 2049.
On May 23, 2016, it was announced that Alcon had acquired the rights to producing animated theatrical films based on Garfield, with a goal of creating a franchise of such films.
On November 1, 2021, Sony Pictures was revealed to be the distributor of the film series.
The first film is set to be released on May 24, 2024.[1][2]
