20th Century Studios (previously known as 20th Century Fox Film Corporation, or 20th Century Fox) is a California-based American film studio. Having been owned by the News Corporation from 1984 to 2013, the studio was bought by The Walt Disney Company for $71.3 billion in 2018,[1][2] a deal that was officially completed on March 20, 2019.[3]

Even though Paramount Global currently owns the Garfield franchise due to its 2019 acquisition of Paws Incorporated, Disney/20th Century Studios retained the rights to the two live-action Garfield movies and the three direct-to-video CGI movies.
