Is there any Jim Davis-related media in the January 1, 1976 issue of The Pendleton Times?
Is there any Jim Davis-related media in the January 1, 1976 issue of The Pendleton Times?
I'm also interested.
One tidbit I noticed from what I've seen in terms of what I've seen in the direct to video movies and The Garfield Show that may clash with the iceberg is that is if the comic strip existed in The Garfield Show (Mother Garfield) and it's drawn by Jim Davis (It's About Time, World Without Me), then it would suggest that it's a separate continuity from said movies, as the comic strip there is photographed on the set in Comic Studio and transmitted to newspapers in the real world. You might want to take it with a grain of salt, as I haven't seen everything from either branch of Garfield media mentioned, nor do I entirely get what the three timelines tidbit truly refers to.
It probably wouldn't make sense considering the strip was aware it was ending in the last month of it's run, which may confuse those who didn't read the strip back then. Even then, the characters were still represented in their segments, so doing a finale quickie with them when they are still present in the series would be strange, as well.
To be fair, video games such as Nickelodeon Kart Racers 3 and All Star Brawl does have voice clips of Garfield and Odie, voiced by Frank Welker and Gregg Berger. One of the exceptions is the Zen Pinball board, which, from what I've seen, has Jon Barnard voicing some of the characters. I don't think it helps that the animated projects under Nickelodeon have yet to surface and that they are using Garfield Originals, inherited from Dargaud Media, as the current Garfield show on their website and some promotional material.
Evanier did state that he had trouble writing plots that would necessitate Arlene and/or would do her justice in the seven minute time frame. I think it would make more sense for her to be used as a supporting like she was in The Garfield Show, which has 11 minute episodes (barring two-, four- or five-part specials), which can allow for such characters to be added. From what I have seen of Garfield and Friends, the scope and structure of the series doesn't really allow for supporting characters in their stories, while The Garfield Show does.
Where did the idea of Garfield's Mother being named Sonja originate from?
I feel like we should add a proper list of character page in a manner not unlike Garfield's family or the Arbuckle family for characters in a piece of Garfield media. When I say "a piece of Garfield media," I generally mean every installment in a series like Garfield and Friends or the 20th Century Studios films, for example. This could be beneficial as it provides a place for characters that doesn't have enough information to sustain a page for the time being or at all (i.e. Garfield's father prior to the 2024 movie) and to provide an index for every character in that accompanying piece of media (established or otherwise).
It's from the 1990 Screaming with Binky short "Cartoonist," after Binky catches the animator off-guard, resulting in Garfield and Binky looking uneven.
Pages or categories with pages relating to the anniversary campaigns, as well as the media released to coincide or related to the campaign (which includes Garfield.com anniversary pages; Anniversary books, The Garfield Show for the 30th Anniversary, celebrations like the 20th Anniversary exhibits, etc.)
Here's a curio I found when going through the 20th Anniversary web pages - the earliest prototype Garfield plush, sewn by Carolyn Davis.
Since Garfield's 45th Birthday is on Monday, I think it would be fitting to add pages on Anniversary campaigns for the franchise to the Wiki.
How do incidental characters in The Garfield Show work here? Are they characters that are the same as their named counterparts or are they separate characters from those that uses the same models (or even their voices at times) and are named? What about two or more characters that uses the same model (but not always the same voices) but each has a different name?
The Garfield Shorts were on Netflix via The Garfield Show until 2017, as when the series returned, the shorts were removed, as far as I know. I wonder what the order of those were when they were on Netflix.
MSN appears to be a web portal that contains various articles, videos and news, among other things relating to society. I mainly use the comics portion of the news section to find copies of Garfield via GoComics presence there, as from my experience, the copies there appear to look more vibrant and clearer than those from GoComics itself. However, they don't contain the Sunday comics.
I don't necessarily intend on having those replace their Garfield.com counterparts, though I'm not sure what to do with those outside of that.
I would usually have them on character pages or something like that. For Garfield.com pages, I would use archived links. I may be fine with using them on anything that isn't the comic strip pages themselves.
4a. Which you consider to be examples of intrusive watermarks from these two screenshots?
Screenshot of a 1987 McDonald's Garfield commercial.
Screenshot of the Screaming with Binky short "Baseball."
4b. I mean to say screenshots of footage recorded from a camera. Would those be allowed if no other versions of the piece of media recorded in question is accessible?
The first eight issues of the Garfield comic book line from KaBOOM! will be collected in Garfield: Full Course, releasing on November 7th, coinciding with the 45th anniversary. It will release on paperback with 224 pages, and is said to be the first volume "redesigned and updated" collection, collecting what was previously the first two volumes of the line.

Seasons 1 and 2 of The Garfield Show (Pasta Wars - Unfair Weather Part 2) will leave Netflix on June 30th. Anything that you may need to source from or if you would like to see those seasons on the platform may have to do it this month.
Are we allowed to add the MSN copies of the recent daily strips?
Can we add the older United Feature Syndicates/Universal Press Syndicate copies of the strips? What about the select 1995 - ~2000 strips on GoComics (duplicates or otherwise)?
Are reference links to GoComics (non-duplicate strips, as well as Garfield Classics strips) and Garfield.com (archived links of the full version of the versions of select strips and those last officially seen on the site) fine?
Are watermarked pictures of footage fine if the watermarked copies are the only available copy available (easily accessible or otherwise; i.e. Garfield and Friends quickies not seen on current releases)? I would also ask if pictures taken via a camera would also be acceptable with the same logic.
Where did the information of Nickelodeon's take of Garfield.com (the version said to have launched in October) come from?
Are officially uploaded content (content uploaded to the Garfield [Official Garfield] YouTube channel, Garfield and Friends, THE GARFIELD SHOW OFFICIAL) fine to link?
I forgot to introduce myself on the forum itself. Oh, well.
I am curious to see what content is exclusive to The Wide World of Garfield, even if I wouldn't download any copy from the internet due to security reasons (nor that anyone would on their usual account or anything other than a virtual machine of any kind). I am particularly curious about character biographies and if the 2000 Paws, Incorporated logo was present on it, given that it was seen on the CD-Rom.
One of its CD-Roms. Contains the 2000 Paws, Inc. logo.
The 2000 Paws, Inc. logo. As seen on Garfield's Mad About Cats.
Packaging that contains screenshots of the CD.
I wonder if anything unique is present on it, and if it would be added to pages on the wiki if it is unique.
