Always wondered that. Just saw the "Garfield Rap" again, and this small scene..went over my head.. although it was very short.

This shot is Intresting, what's going on in this scene since I haven't yet watched the episode.

I'm pretty sure it's most probably a parody of an actual musical videoclip from 1980s or 1990s. Can't say which one exactly, for I've never been into MTV myself.
