When I watched the trailer, Crisp sounds as if he took the role of Garfield unwillingly, only for money they offered him for the role. Literally no insight.

I only saw the trailer once, yet I can easily see why people have been skeptical about CP taking on the role.

When it came to Bill Murray back in the 2000s, the powers that be focused on a voice fitting for Garfield's attitude, without having to worry about emulating Lorenzo Music. I'm not sure if CP is even trying to do what Murray did.
