I saw the trailer myself and I agree, that Chris Pratt didn't do a good job as Garfield's voice actor.
Sadly, this isn't the only flaw of this movie - according to Garfield on the Town and original comic strips, Garfield was born in an Italian restaurant, where he was taken away from his mother and sent to a pet shop. Jon bought Garfield from the pet shop, having to choose between an iguana, a rock, and Garfield the kitten. The movie contradicts this canon.
Also, notice how Garfield talks about Vic in the trailer - as if he met Vic before. No comic strip or motion picture made before 2023 directly mentions Garfield's father existence, only Garfield's mother, his maternal grandfather, paternal grandfather, Raoul, and further relatives are depicted. Canon contradiction again.
I'd also complain about inconsistent character designs - humans look better than animals in a motion picture about a cartoon animal.
To sum up, I'm not going to spend money on cinema tickets for such a movie.
