Hey everybody, this is FGN Crew Fan. It’s been a long time...
My old account got the axe from Fandom, and you probably wondered why, right? Well now you know. I was part of the Mozgu Group and made the unfortunate decision to log into one of the ManMka accounts we'd hacked, just before it got the boot from Fandom. The folks over at Fandom assumed I was the sockpuppeter and blocked me. Nermal was the one running the account at the time, so it wasn’t even true. I can't deny it was a pretty careless move on my part, and I certainly got an earful from the others. But they were a forgiving bunch and let me stick around in the group, and I’ve helped out on many of our big operations since then.
So anyway, I’m here to confess. Yes, I was a member of the Mozgu Group, and I'm here to confirm that everything in that screenshot is spot-on. It all began back in late 2019 when Cooljoe01 reached out to me in secret, asking about my experience with hacking and how I felt about TeeJay87. Eventually, Josh (code name Joe, just like Kutter59 said) revealed that he and some buddies had formed this covert group of hackers to wage a clandestine war against the wiki's enemies. I couldn't resist the allure, so I joined the ranks, and we started slow before cranking up the intensity in later years. Joe and Nermal might be the official leaders, but let me tell you, Ice Cool is the true mastermind behind the scenes. He’s always knowing what to do and how to do it. Oh, and in case you're wondering, my code name was indeed Ghost. It was a nod to Bereghost, my all-time favorite from the FGN Crew.
Now, just because I'm confessing doesn't mean I'm sorry. I'm addressing you not as someone seeking forgiveness but as a voice that's had enough, ready to reveal a truth that's been lurking in the shadows for far too long. Brace yourselves, for my words won't mince matters, and I've got no intentions of seeking absolution. Instead, I'm here to lay bare the startling realities that have fueled my actions and the turmoil the wiki’s faced for so long.
I proudly wear the Mozgu Group badge, and I'm standing here, unrepentant, ready to unravel the entire tapestry of our involvement in the community's affairs. Before you pass judgment, let me peel back the layers and expose the unadulterated truth about our group's endeavors.
When I first embarked on this digital journey, it was driven by a passionate love for Garfield and an unflinching commitment to the ideals of fairness and justice. However, as time unfolded, I couldn't ignore the sickening realization that our community was infested with rampant abuse of power and an atmosphere poisoned by bigotry.
In response, at Joe’s invitation I joined forces with the Mozgu Group, a defiant collective formed to combat what we saw as a profound rot within our community. Our actions, however unconventional or disruptive they may appear, weren't rooted in malice but in a profound belief that we were the sentinels of justice, the torchbearers of transparency, and the champions our community sorely needed.
It’s true our arsenal included actions that may have raised eyebrows, like deploying troll accounts to provoke reactions and shine a light on the festering issues demanding immediate attention. We didn't take these actions lightly, and we were fully aware of the controversy surrounding our methods. Yet, we were convinced to our very core that our community was in dire need of a wake-up call. That’s why we did what we did, and I for one see nothing to feel guilty about.
Now, it's time to turn our piercing gaze to one individual within our community – TeeJay87. His exercise of power wasn't just oppressive; it was a cauldron of unchecked authority, racism, bigotry, and a flagrant disregard for the very principles our community should uphold. Our actions, in part, were a response to the tyranny he embodied. This was deeply personal for Joe and his brother, two South Africans whose family saw first-hand the oppressive weight of apartheid. They were both resolute from the start that racism like this must not go unchecked, and we made the decision to fight against it in any way possible.
Looking back, I reiterate that I harbor no remorse. Our actions, unconventional as they may have been, were a dire necessity in the face of systemic decay. We weren't passive observers; we were instigators of change. It's TeeJay87 who should face the unrelenting scrutiny, not me or my fellow Mozgu Groupers. His behavior wasn't merely despicable; it was the catalyst for our actions. We might have ignited controversy, but it's high time we fan the flames of change and confront the festering wounds that tarnish our community. This will benefit the wiki in the long run, you can be sure about that.
And so, with this foundation laid bare, I present my defense – not as an apology but as a resounding declaration. I won't seek redemption, for the focus should be on the festering issues that have plagued our community for far too long. I stand unwavering, unyielding, and unapologetic. Let's engage in a discourse that shines a light on the pent-up anger, unapologetically fierce, that TeeJay has stoked for so many years. My fervent hope is that, through this dialogue and corrective action by the other admins, we can finally cleanse our community of the blight that's marred its very essence - TeeJay87 himself.
Joe and Nermal didn't exactly give me the thumbs-up for this move, and I'm well aware they'd rather keep the group's maneuvers top-secret. But here's where I stand: I reckon we've been lurking in the shadows for long enough, and it's high time we told our tale with some righteous gusto. Let's get one thing straight – we haven't done anything wrong, and there's no reason to hang our heads in shame. Our actions were guided by a sense of purpose, a unique approach to tackle the deep-seated issues within our community. We've been operating with a unique approach to tackle what we saw as a pretty widespread issue that was destroying the Garfield Wiki from within. So, I'm not gonna apologize to you all, because I'm convinced this is for the greater good.
But I do want to apologize to the other group members, in case they don’t like my going public. The thing is, I believe this is the moment to pull back the curtain and let some daylight in. We did the right thing. It's time to face our history, not with shame, but with the confidence that our actions, however unconventional, were guided by a deep-seated commitment to the betterment of our community. That’s always been the mission of the Mozgu Group, and the fight to achieve it won’t be over until it’s done.
Thanks for your time everybody, and peace out.
